Recipe: Plants and Peanuts Sandwich

We’re thrilled to be sharing one of our favourite planet-friendly lunch ideas. The STREAT plants and peanuts sandwich was developed by their Head Chef, Di, as a plant-based option for lunch that can be made in minutes.

Just think, if one person ate a plant based sandwich for lunch every day for a year we would save almost 1/2 tonne of CO2 emissions per year! It's small changes in our daily habits that will make a big difference to our environment, and you should hopefully have most of these ingredients already in your kitchen.

Ingredients: ⠀
– Two slices of good quality bread e.g. sourdough⠀
– Peanut butter⠀
– Dill pickles⠀
– Sriracha sauce⠀
– Crispy lettuce ⠀

Method:⠀
1. Layer ingredients in your preferred order on the first slice of bread (some swear by lettuce on top), place the second slice on top and enjoy a planet-friendly lunch! ⠀

Top tip: It tastes amazing toasted.
